Tooth Fairy’s COLA adjustments are CRAZY!!!

Do you remember the excitement of losing a tooth and placing it under the pillow as a child? If you are a certain age, you might have hoped you would be getting a dollar in exchange for your tooth from the tooth fairy (or one of their secret helpers). Well we can say goodbye to those days because they seem to be gone!!
In a recent survey done by Visa, the national average amount kids are receiving per tooth is $3.70 – this number is up 42% in the last two years! According to Jason Alderman, Visa’s director of global education, “tooth fairy inflation is clearly surging.” He states two other main reasons for the rise, an improving economy and parental guilt. “It is hard to say ‘no’ to our kids,” says Alderman
The Children’s Financial Network’s chair, Neal Godfrey, also agrees on the guilt aspect. They have reported that 6 percent of tooth fairies (or their parental helpers) are leaving more than twenty dollars for one tooth, two percent are giving FIFTY dollars per tooth!!!!
